Jeremy Davis

Hey. I'm Jeremy. Twenty two. Student in Nashville, TN.

Christ follower. Sports fan. Friend.

What I write in this blog will vary. I post what makes me laugh mostly, but you'll get a serious post out of me occasionally.

Saw Star Trek last night and loved it. Go see it on the biggest screen you have access to.

Anyways, towards the climax of the movie, Captain Kirk is faced with making a big decision, and a line he said stuck with me.

He tells Spock something along the lines of this: “I have no idea what I should do, I only know what I can do.”

It’s a really simple statement, but at a point in life where I’m asked far too often what my plans are, it resonated with me.

I’m honestly really uncertain what I should do. What career I should ultimately pursue. Where I should live. What and who I should invest my time in.

I can either take that uncertainty and allow it to sink me into a pool of stress and anger, or I can embrace it and dive in to the things I know I can do right now. I’m choosing the latter.

God is faithful. He has opened some pretty cool doors. They’re not always what (or more accurately, where) I’d expect, but I’m choosing to keep trusting Him and to step in to these opportunities confidently.

Spent a few minutes today recalling all the great memories in this place. Such a strange feeling standing outside of a home that’s no longer yours.

Just followed this tutorial and was able to make this cool Man of Steel poster using the Pixelmator app for Mac. That was fun!

It’s unbelievable how you can affect someone else so deeply and never know.

First trailer for Arrested Development - Season 4!

May 26th is gonna be a good day.

(via mysilentmusings)

  • Beautiful weather.
  • Great, encouraging conversations over coffee with someone I look up too so much.
  • Serving food and hanging out with some awesome homeless people.
  • Meeting new people.
  • Chipotle.
  • Movie with friends.

It was just really good. More days like this over the next two (ish) weeks and I’ll be leaving Nashville on a really high note.
